OUR STORY

The need:

Eamon Mc Donald, the dedicated founder of Pasmosa sangria, embarked on a mission to Spain. His goal was to discover the most premium ready-to-drink (RTD) sangria for the global market, a journey fueled by his unwavering dedication and love for the craft. The non-existence of premium sangria in retail or restaurants drove this mission. Most sangrias in the market are 6% ABV made from cheap wine. To get to 6%, you would have to add 50% water or more. Retailers, including Costco, Sam’s Club, and Trader Joe’s, to name a few. No one offers a Premium Sangria to their customers. We have found that most bars, restaurants, and wineries make “Trash can punch” from a homemade concoction or wine that is oxidized or going bad. They usually add simple syrup/sugar and cheap tequila or vodka to put life back into the punch. (headache in a glass)

The want:

Sangria originated in Spain and Portugal in the 18th century. We set out to find the best winery in the region. We discovered an old-school winery in Castille la Mancha, which has been making wine and sangria since 1883 (four generations). They could accomplish our needs for the American market and make a Hand-Crafted Premium sangria designed to be poured on a full glass of ice using the most premium varietals native to the region: Tempranillo, Garnache, Airen, and Mediterranean fruits.

The desire:

The name Pasmosa is Castilian Spanish, meaning “Astonishing!” And that’s precisely what you’ll think when you enjoy a glass of this flavorful sangria, lovingly crafted in the time-honored tradition of Old-World winemakers. Whether enjoyed at a midday fiesta in a downtown cantina, a winery, or the quiet company of family and friends on a warm summer night, an ice-filled glass of this wonderfully delicious blend will complement any occasion. Pasmosa uses a unique blend of fresh, all-natural ingredients, including the most premium varietals native to the region, Tempranillo, Garnache, Airen’ and Mediterranean fruits. This unique blend is what sets Pasmosa apart. The full-bodied 12% ABV will maintain its great taste and alcohol until the last drop—even after cooling with ice. It’s a fuller taste you and your guests will appreciate.

The result:

We have taken bars, restaurants, and wineries and replaced their existing concoction with Pasmosa sangria without adding our name to the menus; we have 3x to 4x their sales from 400 to 1600 glasses a month for several bars and restaurants and several wineries from 1200 to 3600 glasses a month. This success story is a testament to the market potential of Pasmosa. It shows that quality matters, and Real hand-crafted Premium sangria is made in Spain, not in the USA.
